Occasionally the wind blows too hard out of the west/northwest and Washington Dulles International Airport (KIAD) will have to land most aircraft on runway 30. This means that they use the runway 01R approach corridor and then circle to land on runway 30 inside the airport boundary usually. This can make for some spectacular shots.
